What is the "next critical event" card?
The next high-impact release, with a live countdown, the volatility usually seen around it, and a warning if you have positions open into it.
It sits at the top of the page and takes a red tint when the event is both high-impact and close, which is the only alarm on the page.
It carries four things:
- The event and its countdownWhat is being released and how long until it is. Once it has released the label changes to Just released rather than counting up as though it were still ahead of you.
- Expected volatilityAn estimate of how much movement this kind of release usually produces, drawn as a bar rather than stated as a number, because the estimate is not precise enough to deserve one.
- Your exposureThe positions you currently have open, by symbol and count. If you have nothing open it says so.
- The avoid window state, if you have that turned on.
