What is on the Process Grade sub-page?
One panel, plotting how well you executed against how the trade turned out — with P&L deliberately excluded from the grade.
The most important idea in the Execution tab. Every other measure eventually launders outcome into judgement; this one refuses to. A trade is graded on the five things you controlled, and the result is plotted against P&L so the two can disagree in public.
Indicators on this sub-page:
- Four counts across the topwell executed, paid; well executed, lost; badly executed, paid; badly executed, lost.
- A scatter underneath, process grade percentage along the bottom against net P&L up the side, so each trade is a point in one of those four quadrants.
- A footer line giving how many trades were graded, your average grade, and where the split between "well" and "badly" sits — 80%, meaning four of five components clean.
The two middle counts are the whole point. Well executed, lost are the trades to keep taking. Badly executed, paid are the ones that will hurt you later, because the market paid you for doing the wrong thing and you will remember the payment.
Components with no data behind them are excluded from the grade rather than counted as passes, so a trade graded 4/4 was graded on four components and makes no claim about the fifth. The five components themselves are covered separately below.
