Why is my Analytics empty?

Almost always the filter row or a field you have not been filling in — not a broken chart.

There are three different kinds of empty here and they have different fixes.

• "No trades in this period." The period filter excludes everything you have. Widen it — All time is the quickest way to tell whether this is the problem.
• A chart with axes and nothing on them. The trades exist but the field that chart is built from is blank on all of them. Charts by setup need a setup on the trade; charts by session need a session; the Edge Finder needs custom columns. This is the common case, and the fix is journalling rather than anything in Analytics.
• A whole tab that is empty. Usually Psychology, because it is built from debriefs. No debriefs, no data.

The general rule: Analytics never invents anything. Every chart is a view of fields you filled in, so an empty one is telling you which field is missing.
