How does this differ from Analytics → Edge → News & Events?

This page is about today. That sub-page is about your history. They read the same event data and should agree.

They are two views of one dataset and it is worth knowing which to open.

This page looks forward. What is due, what the market did in the minutes after the last release, whether you are inside an avoid window right now. Its natural use is before and during a session.

Analytics → Edge → News & Events looks back. It takes the same event data, joins it to your whole trade history, and asks which event types you actually trade well — over months rather than over today. Its natural use is on a weekend.

Two practical notes:

• The event tagging is shared. If your trades are not being matched to events, the fix is in Settings → News → Re-tag all, and it fixes both views at once.
• The 30-day news P&L tile here and the Analytics sub-page can differ without either being wrong: this tile is a rolling thirty days, and the Analytics page reads whatever date range and filters you have set there.
