What are the five account types?
Live, Funded, Evaluation, Demo and Backtest. The last two are practice and are kept out of your live headline statistics.
- LiveReal capital.
- FundedYou passed the evaluation and are trading the firm's capital.
- EvaluationA prop firm challenge or evaluation in progress.
- DemoSimulated. Not counted in live stats.
- BacktestHistorical replay. Not counted in live stats.
The split that matters is the last one. Demo and Backtest are treated as practice, so a good week on a simulator does not quietly inflate the numbers you use to judge yourself. Two conditions govern it, and both are worth knowing:
- It applies when you are viewing All accounts. Select a demo account on its own and you see its numbers in full, which is what you want when you are reviewing practice deliberately.
- It is controlled by an include practice switch in the account panel, which is off by default. Turn it on and practice trades join the totals.
Practice trades are never hidden from the Journal. They are in your record; they are simply kept out of the headline figures.
Older accounts may carry the label challenge, which the app reads as Evaluation everywhere it matters.
