What is the minimum I need configured before my first session?

Four things: your timezone, an account, your trading schedule, and a way for trades to arrive. Everything else is improvement rather than setup.

In the order that matters.

1. Timezone, on Settings → Profile. This one first, because other things are derived from it. Session boundaries are anchored to New York and converted to your timezone; every reminder fires against it; your day boundaries are drawn on it. Set it before the schedule, not after.

2. An account. You already have one — onboarding creates Main account whether or not you finished. Rename it if you like. See accounts.

3. A trading schedule, on Settings → Trading schedule. This is what turns the Calendar and the debrief from empty shells into something that describes your day.

4. A way in for trades. Any of the routes in the ways a trade gets in — but pick one before your first session rather than after, because reconstructing a day from memory is exactly the thing a journal exists to stop.

Worth adding early, but not required: a couple of playbook setups, so trades have something to be graded against, and a Groq key, which is free and switches on the AI features and the better voice transcription in one go.

Explicitly not required: an AI key, capture, a broker connection, key levels, or the asset registry. All of those improve the app; none of them gates it.
