Can I change how an exhibit is drawn, or which years it covers?

Yes. View: switches the chart type, and the year dropdown next to it scopes the sample. Both sit in the exhibit's own control row.

They look alike and sit together, but they do different jobs, and the difference is worth holding on to.

View changes how one result is drawn. The same numbers, a different chart. What is on offer depends on the study: an event study can be drawn as bullet bars, vertical bars, rate bars or a study table; a distribution as a histogram, a percentile table or a cumulative curve; a regime comparison as rows or columns. Your choice is saved on the study and is there next time.

The year lens changes which rows produce the result. It is a real re-scoping of the sample, which is why the control turns amber the moment it is on anything but All years.

On the report, both are per-exhibit and the year lens is deliberately temporary — the reader's question is "did this one hold in 2024", and a page-level lens would silently re-scope a dozen other exhibits behind their backs. Inside a deep research note the lens is note-wide instead, because there every exhibit is a reading of the same study and showing two different samples on one page would be wrong.
