How do I choose which screen or display gets captured?
Under Screen selection. If the app only lists one display, click 🖥 Detect all displays and grant the permission your browser asks for — your monitors then appear as tiles, and you click the one running your platform. A blue border and a brief pulse confirm the pick.
The app starts by assuming you have one display, because that is the only thing a browser can know without asking.
In a browser, enumerating your monitors requires the Window Management permission. Until you grant it, Screen selection shows a blue notice reading "Only 1 display detected" with the Detect all displays button beside it. Click it, accept the browser prompt, and the full list populates — including built-in laptop screens. You are only asked once; after that the list fills itself in every time you open the page.
In the desktop app there is no prompt at all. The companion enumerates displays natively on load, and the button beside the heading reads Refresh displays instead — click it after plugging in or unplugging a monitor.
Reading the tiles. Each is labelled with the display's name, marked (primary) where it applies, and shows its pixel dimensions underneath. The selected one carries a blue border and a ● Selected marker. Clicking a tile pulses it blue for about five seconds — and in the desktop app it also flashes a blue halo around the physical monitor itself, which is the fastest way to be certain you picked the screen you meant.
If detection fails, an amber line appears under the heading with the reason. The usual causes are a browser that does not implement window management at all, or a permission that was declined earlier and now needs resetting in your browser's site settings.
Verifying the choice, on the desktop. Two buttons sit beside the heading. Test capture takes one screenshot of the selected monitor and shows it inline under Last test capture, with its dimensions and time — if that preview shows your charts, the selection is right. Capture now → latest trade goes further and runs the entire pipeline against your most recent trade, which is the way to prove uploads are working, not just the screenshot.
