Where are my snapshots stored, and how do I change the location?

In the cloud, on your account, always. The Snapshot storage path field sets an additional local folder the desktop app mirrors each still into — it is a backup, not the primary location, and leaving it blank costs you nothing.

Two copies exist, and they are not equal in status.

The cloud copy is the real one. Every snapshot uploads to your account's storage and is recorded against the trade. That is what the Snapshot tab reads, and it is why a still taken on your desktop is visible when you open the same trade on a laptop.

The local copy is a mirror. If you put a folder path in Snapshot storage path, the desktop app also writes each still there, named for the trade. If the mirror fails, nothing else is affected — it is deliberately non-fatal. If the field is empty, the step is skipped silently.

Setting it. In the desktop app, click Browse… and pick the folder. In a browser the Browse button is not shown — the field explains you can paste a path now and it will be used once you are on the desktop. Either way the path is saved when you click out of the field, and a Path saved toast confirms it.

The path is per-machine and does not sync. Set it again on each computer you capture from. That is deliberate: a folder that exists on your desktop rarely exists on your laptop, and a synced path would point at nothing half the time.

Why you might want the mirror. Snapshots are yours, and a folder on your own drive is the version that survives you cancelling an account, going offline, or wanting to page through six months of entries in an image viewer rather than a trade panel. Point it at a synced folder and you have an off-site copy as well.
