What is the Random setup?

The bucket for trades that were not part of any plan. Analytics uses it as your control group, and it cannot be edited, removed or shared.

Every serious question about whether your playbook is worth anything comes down to a comparison: do the trades you planned do better than the ones you did not? Random is the other side of that comparison.

Tagging a trade Random is not an admission of anything — it is data. The Edge section of Analytics puts playbook trades and random trades side by side on expected value, and the gap between them is one of the few numbers in the app that directly measures whether having a plan is paying you.

Because it is a control group rather than a strategy, it has no rules, no checklist and no health check, and the buttons that would change it are not rendered.
