What happens to snapshots that don't match a trade?
They are kept, not discarded — and the Dashboard shows an amber banner offering to attach them by hand. Nothing you send is thrown away for failing to match.
An orphaned upload is stored on your account under a name that marks it as unmatched, and no link to a trade is recorded. Left alone it would be invisible: the file exists, but nothing in the app points at it.
That is what the banner is for. The Dashboard scans your storage for unmatched uploads and, when it finds any, shows an amber card reading "Webhook uploaded this image but couldn't find a matching trade. Attach manually below." Each orphan appears as a thumbnail with the time it was captured, and you pick the trade it belongs to. Once attached it stops being flagged.
The scan is cheap and deliberately lazy — it runs when the Dashboard loads and again after you close the attach dialog, not on a timer. If you have just sent one and the banner is not there, reload the page.
Why an upload orphans. Almost always one of three things: you were not in a trade and had not been for over five minutes; your trade had not reached the journal yet, because a broker sync had not run; or the timestamp your tool sent was wrong. The first is normal and expected. The second usually resolves itself — send the shot again once the trade is showing.
