TradePerformance

What does "closed at the broker without a recorded exit" mean?

Your broker says the position is flat, but the closing fills never reached TradePerformance. The trade is held out of your P&L until you enter the exit yourself.

The banner is amber and counts the trades it has found: "The broker reports flat but the closing fills never reached TradePerformance. These trades are kept out of your P&L until the exit is entered."

Being left out of your P&L is the safe half of this. A trade whose exit is unknown has no honest profit or loss, so counting it as anything — including zero — would quietly move your win rate, your expectancy and every risk figure built on them. It is held aside instead, the same way an open position is.

Each trade in the list shows as journal open · broker flat with a Mark closed at broker button. Pressing it does not invent an exit — it records that the position is genuinely closed and switches the row to "exit unrecorded — open the trade and enter the exit". Open the trade and type the exit price to finish it, and it rejoins your P&L.

Why this happens: the connector missed the closing fills. A dropped connection at the wrong moment is the usual cause, and an option that expired rather than being sold is the other — an expiry produces no fill at all, so there is nothing to report.
